Frequently Asked Questions
What are the differences between Enesence Fish Oil and standard fish oil?
Enesence Fish Oil | Standard Fish Oil |
Uses small fishes (anchovies) | Usually, mixed fish source |
Lower risk of contaminants | Higher risk of contaminants due to large fish source |
High strength (75% fish oil) | Low strength (mostly 30% fish oil) |
What is TOTOX and why is it important?
- TOTOX stands for Total Oxidation Value, which measures the freshness of fish oil. A lower TOTOX value indicates fresher oil and lower levels of oxidation.
Standard fish oil supplements contain 1000mg fish oil. Aren’t they high in EPA & DHA too?
- Not necessarily. Many common “1000 mg” fish-oil softgels refer to total oil weight, not active EPA+DHA. Always check the stated EPA + DHA on the label.
When is the best time to take this fish oil, on an empty stomach or with a meal?
- Take it with a meal, preferably one that contains some fat. Dietary fat improves the absorption of EPA and DHA. For convenience, take it with your largest meal and be consistent each day.
Adults: 1 capsule before meal, once daily.
